Harmonic analysis, Operator and function theory, and their applications
Conference in memoriam of Jean Esterle.
The conference will be held in Bordeaux on april 8-10, 2024.
It can also be followed via Zoom: please contact the organizers to get the link.
Aims
The aim of this conference is to bring together internationally renowned experts in the fields of complex and harmonic analysis, operator theory, as well as function algebras and spaces. Many of the subjects of the conference such as invariant subspaces, semi-groups of operators, Banach algebras, lie at the heart of the research of our colleague Jean Esterle who sadly passed away on May 6th, 2023. The conference will also celebrate the diversity of the contributions that Jean made to our community as a researcher, an educator, an author, a thesis director, and a brilliant bureaucrat (founding for instance the French GDR « Analyse Harmonique, Fonctionelle et Probabilités » and creating the EU Research Training Network « Classical Analysis, Operator Theory, Geometry of Banach spaces, their interplay and their applications »).
